Welp! The time for the CS2 majors is just around the corner, and what better way to watch this twice a year event than by betting predicting which teams will make it in or crash and burn to earn some points for a case! My first participation in this little game was only just the last major, the Shanghai Perfect World 2024 Major. It was also the first time I would watch the Finals live as the schedule was attainable for someone who doesn’t live in the wes nor anywhere near it. I got a Gold Coin from that! I missed one pick in the Legends stage, but I got the 2 predictions needed for the Quarterfinals.
The gold coin I got from the last major.
Anyways, I am participating in it again for the Austin 2025 Major! Got my viewer pass just before the 12% VAT on digital goods get activated in my country (I wish someone would revert that change. It sucks), and I went and did a “random bullshit go!” on my picks for Stage 1.
My picks for stage 1. 25% of my brainpower was used for this pick.
What’s changed in this major is that there are more teams in the majors starting in this one, so I only need to make 5 correct predictions instead of the 7 (if I remember correctly) for the majors preceding this. Again, my picks are from the “throwing shit and see what sticks” department so don’t use this as a basis. I might get a lot if wrong, but I am confident in Heroic getting a 3-0 for this stage seeing as they defeated FaZe with s1mple (and skullz to be fair) during IEM Dallas; a tournament that took place a week before this major. Sure, they have to rebuild after that, but I have faith in them!
I am really looking forward to the major! I hope FaZe wins it cause man, seeing them get 2nd place back-to-back really made me want to cheer for them this major. Y’know what they say, “third time’s the charm!” Please s1mple, save us from zywoo. Even if I can’t watch most of the matches due to the time difference, I will be looking forward to the matches!
P.S.: Apologies for the lack of activity, and the lack of any announcements for the lack of yesterday’s stream. We’re focusing on our paper+project, and I was modifying my keyboard on the day of the supposed stream (That’s a story for another day).
